Steal Honda Vario 125 Motorcycle, Couple Of Lovers In Madiun Arrested By Police
MADIUN - Police Criminal Investigation Unit personnel Madiun City, East Java arrested a pair of lovers suspected of committing a crime of motorcycle theft in the Madiun area.
The two suspects are Dewi Ayu (29), a resident of Taman Village, Taman District, Madiun City, and Yoyok Herkuncoro, a resident of Manisrejo Village, Taman District, Madiun City.
"Both of them were arrested for being involved in the theft of a Honda Vario 125 motorcycle numbered AE-6811-CD," said Madiun City Police Chief AKBP Dewa Putu Eka Darmawan, in Madiun, as reported by Antara, Friday, September 24.
According to the suspect's statement during the examination, the theft began when the suspect, Dewi Ayu, found a parked Honda Vario 125 motorcycle complete with the ignition key.
The motorcycle belongs to Bara Kusjayanto (39), a resident of Sambirejo Village, Jiwan District, Madiun Regency, which is parked next to Tahfid Al Quran's house, Sambirejo Village, Jiwan.
Knowing the opportunity, the suspect without thinking immediately took the vehicle away.
"Two days later, the female suspect asked Yoyok Herkuncoro, who is none other than the suspect's girlfriend, to sell the motorcycle," said AKBP Dewa. The motorcycle was sold for Rp. 5 million with only a vehicle registration complete. Incidentally, the motorcycle registration certificate was in the motorcycle seat. Meanwhile, the money from the sale was then given by the suspect Heru to the suspect Dewi Ayu. The suspect admitted to the police that the proceeds from the sale were used for personal purposes.
"We have also arrested the suspect's girlfriend for providing malicious aid or taddah. We are currently holding both of them for further proceedings," he said.
For this act, the suspect Dewi faces up to five years in prison. Meanwhile, the suspect Yoyok faces up to four years in prison.
