Failed To Circulate Drugs Due To COVID-19
JAKARTA - COVID-19 brings grief to a drug dealer from Medan, Tjioe In In alias Ing Ing. He didn't have the corona virus. But the pandemic prevented him from circulating tens of thousands of ecstasy pills.
The police revealed a drug warehouse located in one of the Kalibata apartment units, Gaharu Tower, South Jakarta. When it was raided, there were more than twenty thousand ecstasy and happy five narcotics hidden there.
Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Yusri Yunus said, in this case, a man from Medan Tjioe In In alias Ing Ing was named a suspect. Tjioe In In alias Ing Ing's confession, during the COVID-19 epidemic, or to be precise three months ago, the suspect used the apartment unit as a drug warehouse.
Why are there so many there? There are still a lot of drug stocks in this warehouse because of this pandemic period. The quantity of drugs being circulated has finally decreased because many entertainment venues - which have become the target market - have not been allowed to open.
"His confession (the suspect) is that the illegal items have been kept in his apartment for a long time, with the COVID-19 pandemic situation, which he usually circulates in entertainment venues, this has been closed all this time," said Yusri in Jakarta, Wednesday, July 14.
The disclosure of this case began with information about the circulation in the Kalibata City apartment area, South Jakarta. After two weeks of investigation, the police managed to secure TII.
"Monday, July 6 managed to secure TII and was searched in the room and found 15,000 ecstasy narcotics and 5,500 H5 items," said Yusri.
Tjioe In In alias Ing Ing denied that this illegal item was his. He admitted that tens of thousands of drugs belonged to someone with the initials HMC who was fugitive. The suspect is only in charge of guarding this place with a wage of Rp10 million per month.
"He (the suspect) admitted that he was only told by someone whose initials were HMC, who is now a DPO. He also admitted that he was paid around Rp. 10 million per month, so long as he held this item it was almost 3 months, so he received around Rp. 30 million to store this item," concluded Yusri. .
So far, the police are still developing the case and hunting down HMC. Meanwhile, Tjioe In In alias Ing Ing was charged with Article 114 paragraph 2 subsidiary Article 112 paragraph 2 junto Article 132 paragraph 1 RI Law Number 35/2009 concerning narcotics with the threat of a sentence of up to five years in prison.
