Nail Mine Scavenger At MT Haryono Says There Is Involvement Of Officials

JAKARTA - A video recording of the arrest of the perpetrator of the nail mine spreader has gone viral on social media. The perpetrator, suspected of spreading nails, was caught by an online motorcycle taxi (ojol) driver who crossed Jalan Gatot Subroto, Tebet, South Jakarta.

The perpetrator was caught by an ojol driver while he was spreading mines on Thursday, September 23, evening. Then the perpetrator was interrogated by other motorists who were upset by the action.

Based on the video footage, one of the motorcyclists asked the perpetrator who ordered him to commit the crime.

"This is the one who spread the mines (nails), right in front of the MT Haryono pom. Here's the person," said one of the drivers in the videotape of the arrest.

Meanwhile, the perpetrator continued to be questioned by other motorists with a number of questions. The driver was annoyed with the behavior of the perpetrator for disturbing the driver.

The perpetrator, dressed in a black singlet, sat on the side of the road surrounded by the crowd.

"I don't know anything, bro. Honestly, bro (who spread nails), I swear to death," said the perpetrator.

While other motorists asked the perpetrator,

"Who put mines on (road) Gatot Subroto, ready?" he asked the perpetrator.

"I don't know Jalan Gatot Subroto. Rian bang Rian (the one who spread nails). The one who works for Dishub is that it's true. Rian is the one who works for Dishub," said the perpetrator.

Angry residents had time to give a raw bogem in the face of the perpetrator. Luckily, the police officers soon arrived on the scene. The perpetrator was immediately arrested by the Highway Patrol (PJR) officers.

The Head of Highway Patrol (PJR) Ditlantas Polda Metro Jaya, Kompol Sutikno confirmed that his party had secured the nail spreader from the tantrums of the masses on Jalan Gatot Subroto in the direction of Cawang. The perpetrators were arrested by PJR officers Aipda Nico and Bripka Catur who happened to be passing by the crime scene.

"Security at the scene so that the masses do not take the law into their own hands," he said, Friday, September 24.

The perpetrators along with evidence of a number of nails and umbrella fingers were handed over to the Tebet Police for further processing.

Tebet Police Chief Kompol Alexander Yurikho said his side was still investigating the case.

"The results will be announced as soon as possible," he told VOI, Friday, September 24, noon.
