Anies' Subordinates Deny Data From His Ministry Nadiem: Must Be Careful In Interpreting Clusters
JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government did not find any positive cases of COVID-19 in 610 schools that participated in limited Face-to-face Learning (PTM) during the Implementation of Restrictions on Community Activities (PPKM).
"Based on data in the field, since the start of phase one Limited PTM, there have been no cases of COVID-19," said Head of the DKI Jakarta Education Agency, Nahdiana, Friday, September 24.
Nahdiana said, his party has prepared handling procedures if a positive case of COVID-19 is found because it does not rule out the possibility of transmission. Disdik has made standard emergency procedures to temporarily stop PTM activities to carry out tracking, testing and maintenance and schools are temporarily closed for 3 x 24 hours for spraying disinfectants.
The DKI Jakarta Education Office also cooperates with the DKI Jakarta Health Office to conduct periodic antigen swab tests in schools that carry out limited PTM, to see the percentage of positive cases in schools.
Meanwhile, the Head of Disease Prevention and Control of the DKI Jakarta Health Office, Dwi Oktavia, emphasized that information about positive cases in schools circulating in the community were cases before the limited PTM started. So, he continued, there is no relationship with limited PTM and is not in accordance with the facts found in the field.
"We need to be careful in using the term cluster. The definition of a cluster is that there are at least two cases and it is epidemiologically proven that the transmission occurs in schools," he said.
He added that the existence of several cases in schools at the same time does not ensure whether they become a cluster or not, because the majority of cases currently exist are independent cases, not clusters.
Previously, the Ministry of Education and Culture released survey data for 25 COVID-19 clusters found in Jakarta originating from PTM. In the data uploaded on the school.data.kemdikbud.go.id website, based on survey data as of September 22, 2021, there are 25 COVID-19 clusters out of 897 school respondents who filled out the survey.
Of the 25 clusters, West Jakarta became the area with the most clusters due to PTM, namely eight clusters. Meanwhile, East Jakarta (6), North Jakarta (5), South Jakarta (5) and one cluster in Central Jakarta.
The total number of educators and education personnel (PTK) who were recorded positive for COVID-19 reached 227 cases. Details of 96 CAR in West Jakarta, 66 CAR in East Jakarta, 16 CAR in North Jakarta, 47 CAR in South Jakarta and two CAR in Central Jakarta.
