Convicted Of Tual DPRD Corruption Of Rp3.145 Billion Arrested In Cilodong, West Java

AMBON - The intelligence team of the Indonesian Attorney General's Office (Kejagung) together with the Depok District Attorney's team (Kejari) arrested Ade Ohoiwutun, who was sentenced to six years in prison in a corruption case of funds for the procurement of food and drink for the Tual City DPRD for the 2010 budget year worth Rp3.145 billion, in Cilodong, West Java. "The person concerned was secured at Jalan Tanjakan Saung Tenda No. 98, Sukamaju, Cilodong District, Depok City, West Java on September 22, 2021 at around 15:20 WIB," said Head of Penkum and Public Relations of the Maluku High Prosecutor's Office, Wahyudi Kareba, in Ambon, reported by Antara, Friday, September 24.

The 51-year-old woman who is a former Expenditure Treasurer at the Tual City DPRD Secretariat was sentenced to six years in prison according to the decision of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Indonesia Number 834 K/Pid.Sus/2017 dated February 20, 2018.

In addition to imprisonment for six years, the person concerned is also sentenced to pay a fine of IDR 200 million, subsidiary to six months in prison and pay a replacement fee of IDR 787 million.

"If the replacement money is not sufficient, then the convict is sentenced to three years in prison," Wahyudi said.

The convict along with his former superior Dra M Kabalmay as the Secretary of the Tual City DPRD who became the power user of the budget at the Tual City Secretariat had enriched themselves or another person or a corporation and had caused state financial losses of Rp3.15 billion.
