Just Comeback, Yerin GFRIEND Has To Take A Complete Break Due To Illness

JAKARTA - GFRIEND is currently promoting their latest mini album entitled 回: Song of the Sirens. Apart from music shows, the group is also scheduled to attend radio shows. However, one of the members, Yerin had to cancel her appearance.

Through her agency, Yerin developed acute gastroenteritis or stomach flu. This is due to contact or eating contaminated food. The pain has symptoms of diarrhea, low-grade fever, and feels cramps.

Shortly after feeling these symptoms, the singer who was born on August 19 was immediately taken to the hospital for further treatment.

As a result, only five GFRIEND members attended Kim Shin Young's Hope Song at Noon radio show, namely Yuju, Sowon, Eunha, SinB, and Umji on Wednesday, July 15. They also attended the fifth Twitter Blue Room session.

Source Music as the agency is discussing Yerin's participation in promoting Apple's songs. As is known, GFRIEND just released an Apple song on July 13 and started promoting today.

Previously GFRIEND released Apple as a comeback after releasing the single Crossroads in February. This comeback is also a GFRIEND series after being acquired by BigHit Entertainment.

They also revealed the absence of GFRIEND on the Music Core program on MBC. Although they did not mention the reason, fans suspect this is due to GFRIEND being included in BigHit. At the end of 2019, BigHit canceled BTS's appearance at year-end music shows because they chose to appear on the New Year's Eve in the United States.
