Who Else Will Be The Suspect In The Tangerang Prison Fire?
JAKARTA - The Tangerang Class I prison fire case has named three suspects. However, the police are still developing the case.
Thus, it is likely that the number of suspects will increase. Moreover, there are still allegations of intentional elements that have not been revealed.
The Head of Public Relations of the Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Yusri Yunus said, in the process of investigating the fire case, the investigator team had made a plan to conduct a case title.
"Following up in the future around Friday, September 24, or Saturday, September 25, we will hold another case from investigators," Yusri told reporters, Thursday, September 23.
Hold this case to identify the suspect. Possibly related to intentional elements or Articles 187 and 188 of the Criminal Code.
"Because later there will be a new suspect," said Yusri.
Prison Officials Examined AgainIn the process of determining the suspect, investigators conducted a number of witness examinations. Some of them are Tangerang Class I prison officials.
In fact, some were checked more than once. For example, the Head of the Correctional Security Unit (KPLP) and the Head of the General Sub-Section of the Tangerang Prison.
The re-examination of the two Tangerang Class I prison officials was because investigators needed additional information. Because there are things that investigators want to investigate.
"The two of them have been examined before, but we will call again or repeat them for additions to the inspection report," said Yusri.
In addition to the Head of KPLP and the Head of the General Subdivision, investigators also scheduled an examination of four other people. One of them has the initials BB.
BB is known to be an electrician in a Class I prison in Tangerang.
"Then also the BAP for BB's brother. He was sick at that time. Then there were also expert witnesses who were examined. There were six people in all, hopefully all of them can attend today," said Yusri
Meanwhile, in this case, the police have named three Tangerang Class 1 prison officers with the initials RU, S, and Y, as suspects. The three were charged with Article 359 of the Criminal Code regarding negligence which caused the death of a person.
The Tangerang prison fire on Wednesday, September 8 killed 49 inmates.
