National Police Chief Asks Humanist Police To Guard RI 1, Even PP Ormas Safeguard Cilacap Residents During Jokowi's Visit
JAKARTA - Pemuda Pancasila (PP) secured two residents during the visit of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) in Cilacap Regency, Central Java. The PP member argued that he was helping the Cilacap Police Station.
According to the chronology, as quoted from ANTARA, two residents were secured separately around Krida Nusantara Field, Gumilir Village, North Cilacap District. The identities of these two residents are not yet known.
One of the members of Pemuda Pancasila in Cilacap Regency, Suarko, said that the two people who were arrested were suspected from the start.
"Initially we were told by our members that behind the goal there was a suspicious person. Then we gathered members for the focal point of the suspect", said Suarko, Thursday, September 23.
In addition, his party was also notified by the police if there were suspicious people. According to him, the police also asked to immediately secure the person if there was any suspicious movement.
"At that time, we were assisting members of the Cilacap Resort Police who were securing President Jokowi's visit", he explained.
However, when President Jokowi's entourage was about to pass near the field, he said, suddenly there was a suspicious movement because the two people looked like they were about to take out a poster from a bag.
Suarko along with other members of Pemuda Pancasila immediately arrested the two people. However, he did not know the contents or the writing on the white paper poster because it had not been opened and immediately taken by the police.
"The poster has not yet been opened and the police immediately took it", he explained.
The two men were immediately taken to the North Cilacap Sector Police for questioning.
Based on the information circulating, the two people wanted to protest to the government over the difficulty of citizens in getting jobs due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
When contacted by telephone, Cilacap Police Chief AKBP Leganek Mawardi denied that any residents were detained by officers during President Jokowi's visit to Cilacap.
"Nothing has been secured. We didn't secure anyone. Maybe he wanted to convey his aspirations, that's why he was asked because it wasn't according to his schedule, right, but there hasn't been a report for safekeeping, my subordinates didn't secure the person", he said.
According to him, his party has not received a report from the North Cilacap Police, so they do not know the contents of the posters brought by the two residents because they are still consolidating after President Jokowi's visit.
The order of the Chief of Police so that the National Police are humanists
The National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo ordered all his staff to remain humane in guarding the working visit of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi). "First, that every security office must be carried out humanely and not too reactive", said the Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police, Inspector General Argo Yuwono, last Wednesday, September 15.
In the order contained in the telegram (ST) number STR 862/IX/PAM.III/2021, the National Police Chief also ordered his staff to provide space for the public to express their aspirations. Moreover, if the act of conveying aspirations is by the applicable law.
"If there is a community group that conveys their aspirations, it will be well communicated that the action of aspiration should not disturb public order. We convey it to the group, we manage and we control it so that everything goes well and smoothly", said Argo.
