Residents Complain Teachers Are Lazy To School, Jayawijaya Regent Papua Asks Disdik For Performance Evaluation
JAYAWIJAYA - The Regent of Jayawijaya Papua Province, Jhon Richard Banua asked the Education Office to evaluate the performance of teachers in schools so that they can identify teachers who are lazy to carry out their duties.
This request was made by Regent Jhon following the complaints he received from the public every time he made a working visit to the district. Not only teachers, education services for students also get a slanted note.
"I have ordered the head of the field to monitor everything so we can find a solution. If there are teachers who are never present, they will most likely be replaced," explained Regent Jhon in Wamena, Antara, Thursday, September 23.
The government expects teachers to help children or students not to be left behind in knowledge.
"We hope that the teachers who are paid work, let alone work for their own children," he said. Jhon made sure to always make visits to villages, districts to find out the problems they were facing.
Because according to him, if the regent only stays in the office and receives reports from the community, then the report does not bring the community's needs together.
"I visit the district, always with the OPD leadership so that the community gives suggestions, the head of the service immediately hears, for example education, health, industrial and cooperatives, so that the aspirations are immediately known to the OPD head," he said.
