KPK Investigates Azis Syamsuddin In Central Lampung Bribery Case, Golkar: We Wish You The Best

JAKARTA - The Deputy Chairperson of the DPR for Political and Security Coordinator (Korpolkam) as well as the Deputy Chairperson of the Golkar Party Azis Syamsuddin is now investigating allegations of involvement in the bribery case in Central Lampung by the KPK. Azis will be summoned by the KPK.

In response to this news, the Golkar Party wishes Azis Syamsuddin the best.

"We wish Bang Azis the best," said Golkar DPP Chairman Dave Laksono at the DPR building, Thursday, September 23.

The member of Commission I of the DPR admitted that he did not know whether there was legal assistance for Azis Syamsuddin. However, he said, the General Chairperson and the Secretary General of Golkar are still communicating with Azis privately.

"In the DPP, there must be regular communication between the General Chairperson and Pak Azis or with the Secretary General, but the communication is still personal," said Dave Laksono.

As previously reported, the KPK will summon the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Azis Syamsuddin, in the near future. The summons is related to a new investigation into the alleged bribery case related to the handling of cases in Central Lampung.

"We hope that everyone who is summoned will fulfill the summons as a form of respect for the upholding and orderliness of law and justice," said KPK Chairman Firli Bahuri to reporters, Thursday, September 23.

Firli explained that the summons was made for the purposes of the investigation so that the allegations became clear. "We must not delay justice because delaying justice is also injustice," he stressed.
