Ramos, Modric And Benzema: Real Madrid's 100-Year Trident

JAKARTA - Sergio Ramos, Luka Modric and Karim Benzema have a big share for Real Madrid this season. Los Blancos are one step away from winning the La Liga title.

Cristiano Ronaldo's departure to Juventus in 2018 has seen players in every line - defense, midfield and attack - step up and be counted.

The three of them have a combined age of 100 years. Although some have noted that these three players have passed the top of their game, they will give Real Madrid another title.

Both Ramos and Modric are 34 years old, while Benzema is 32 years old, and they are living proof that a player can still improve his game after 30 years.

Ramos: An engine that doesn't stop

The physical condition of the Real Madrid captain was shocking. In the game since the restart he has been Pichichi Los Blancos, on top of Benzema.

He has not been deterred in times of high pressure, scoring the decisive goal from the penalty spot and bagging six goals in nine games since the return of football due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Now that Ramos is the defender with the highest number of goals in La Liga history, Ramos is a special player.

Modric: The playmaker who rose from sleep

The Croatian has returned to his best form this season. He showed signs of what helped Croatia to the World Cup final and won him the 2018 Ballon d'Or.

Even at his worst point since then, Zinedine Zidane trusted him and that belief has now paid off.

Modric has again proven himself to be the best midfielder in Europe and he will keep that title until his contract expires in 2021.

Benzema: A striker who is often underestimated

His absence from the French national team is a case study in itself. But if you look at his performances this season, he deserves to be a candidate for the Ballon d'Or.

He scored 30 goals last season, but that form was overshadowed by Real Madrid's terrible season.

This season, he continues to run as before and has scored 24 goals in all competitions, 19 of which were scored in La Liga, three goals behind Lionel Messi.

Like Ramos, Benzema has been on the gas since the restart with five goals and two assists.
