Kemenpora Holds Coach Certification, PB Wushu Indonesia Hopes To Produce New Lindswell

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Youth and Sports (Kemenpora) held a Wushu Sports Primary Level Training Certification event, Tuesday, July 14 yesterday. This trainer certification is expected to be the capital for coaches to improve their career as a professional wushu trainer.

With this certification, trainers are expected to become professionals, not only training with techniques and knowing how. In the future, the trainers are also equipped with science and technology which is increasingly developing

"Hopefully the knowledge gained from this training can be useful and can be transmitted to others," said Menpora Zainudin Amali.

Menpora added, with this certificate the trainers will be more confident. In addition, there will be job opportunities for various sports.

Meanwhile, Chairman of PB Wushu Indonesia (WI) Airlangga Hartato said this training was an asset for coaches to improve the achievements of young Indonesian wushu athletes. He also hopes that a successor to Lindswell Kwok will emerge who will make Indonesia proud in the international arena through wushu.

According to him, it would be a matter of pride for the coaches if they were able to produce high-achieving athletes. For this reason, improving the quality of trainers is one of the focuses of the man who also serves as the Coordinating Minister for the Economy.

"Hopefully from the hands of these coaches, a new Lindswell will be born and someone will accompany Edgar," said Airlangga.
