Winning In Arsenal Vs AFC Wimbledon, Arteta: It's A Tough Match

JAKARTA - Arsenal advanced to the fourth round of the Carabao Cup after beating AFC Wimbledon 3-0 on Thursday morning. However, coach Mikel Arteta admitted his opponent gave them difficulties.

Goals from Alexandre Lacazette, Emile Smith Rowe and Eddie Nketiah ensured no further disappointment from the north London camp.

Meanwhile, the Dons, who have beaten Charlton and Northampton on their current run, failed to muster a shot on target.

"As long as we are 1-0 up, they are obviously still in the game. You can concede a goal from any situation like set pieces. So we knew we had to close the game," Arteta said.

"We did that in the end and looked comfortable, but it's always a tough game."

Lacazette scored the first goal from the penalty spot and provided the assist for south London-born Smith Rowe's goal.

"We want to go as far as we can in this competition, we want to win, in a game like this we have to make it easy," said the France striker.

"We had to do it early but in the end we have to say they (AFC Wimbledon) played well, but we are happy with our performance."
