Different Fate Of Athletic And Archery Sports About The Disbursement Of Funds From The Ministry Of Youth And Sports

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Youth and Sports (Kemenpora) disbursed facilitation funds for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics National Training Plates in 2021 and long-term coaching. This fund was given to the Indonesian Athletic Association (PASI) and the Indonesian Archery Association (Perpani).

This budget approval was marked by the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between the PPON Kemenpora Commitment Making Officer (PPK) and the two sports (sports). Kemenpora emphasized that sports that receive assistance must use the budget in accordance with the MoU.

The funds will be used for honoraria, accommodation, try-ins, training camps, supplements and equipment. In addition, it is also intended for BPJS employment insurance for athletes, coaches, managers and support staff.

However, PASI and Perpani experienced a different fate in receiving aid from the Ministry of Youth and Sports. PASI received funds of Rp 6,141,700,000 from the proposed initial budget of Rp. 6,294,100,000. That is for 20 athletes, 15 coaches, and seven support staff who take part in the National Olympiad and long-term coaching.

Meanwhile, Perpani, which proposed a budget of Rp. 8,050,045,000, only approved assistance of Rp. 3,951,080,000. The funds are for eight athletes, three coaches and six support staff.

The mechanism for channeling funds is carried out in stages through transfers from the Ministry of Finance's KPPN to the main account of sports branch organizations. The first phase disbursed 70 percent of the total assistance. The second phase of 30 percent will be disbursed if LPJ, at least 80 percent of the first phase budget has been completed.

Menpora Zainudin Amali said the process of providing this assistance was carried out openly in front of the public. This was done to avoid irregularities. The Menpora stated that there were no negotiations and no whispers.

"We should avoid that. We do it openly, and we can monitor it," said the Menpora.

Later, this assistance fund will be given in stages to other sports. For this reason, the Menpora appealed to orderly administration and immediately prepare the completeness. One that was warned was PSSI.

Menpora asked the parent football sports organization to immediately complete its budget submission process. The reason is, PSSI is in preparation for a big event, namely the U-20 World Cup which will be held next year.

"For the preparation of the national team for the 2021 U-20 World Cup, PSSI will have an MoU like what PASI and Perpani have done," said the Menpora.
