Seruyan DPRD Central Kalimantan Highlights Procurement Of Land Cruiser Service Cars Of IDR 2.2 Billion During The Pandemic
SERUYAN - A member of the Seruyan DPRD, Central Kalimantan, highlighted the procurement of a Land Cruiser car worth IDR 2.5 billion in the COVID-19 pandemic situation.
"The procurement is not appropriate, in terms of whether it is feasible or not, of course it is not feasible because the price of the car is quite expensive and uses people's money," said DPRD member Seruyan Harsandi, quoted by Antara, Wednesday, September 22.
During the pandemic, the community's economy, continued Harsandi, was very depressed and many lost their jobs and some even went bankrupt.
Therefore, it is unfortunate that the Seruyan Regency Government does not prioritize efforts to improve the community's economy, but instead buys expensive cars.
"I don't think the car procurement is of any use, it's better if the money is budgeted for development programs or also helping the community, so they can improve their economy in this very difficult time," he said.
Harsandi said that his party from the Golkar Party faction did not agree with the purchase of the car.
"We will convey this disagreement from the views of the faction, because the procurement of the car is very detrimental to the community," he said.
In addition, there is no discussion with the DPRD for the purchase of the car, even if there is, it will certainly refuse because there are still many programs that are beneficial to the community.
"The realization of our PAD is very minimal, of course this has a lot of impact on the region and the community," he explained.
Meanwhile, another Seruyan DPRD member, Atinita, said she did not agree with the purchase of the Regency Government's official car for operations.
"In my opinion, this is not suitable and usually also for the procurement of this car in the asset section, but this is actually the General Section of the Seruyan Regional Secretariat," said Atinita.
