Police Conduct Investigation Of Supermarket Burn In Cilandak

JAKARTA - South Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes Pol Azis Andriansyah stated that his party was still identifying the cause of the fire at the supermarket on Jalan Raya Cilandak KKO, Pasar Minggu, South Jakarta.

Currently, the South Jakarta Metro Police are still coordinating with the Puslabfor Polri Headquarters to determine the cause of the fire.

"We will carry out investigations and investigations starting with the status quo or closing the crime scene. Then, we will process the crime scene at the location," the police chief told reporters, Wednesday, September 22.

As a result of the fire, the loss was estimated at IDR 2.5 billion. The fire devoured the building covering an area of 50x25 m (1250 M2).

Public Relations of the DKI Jakarta Fire and Rescue Agency, Mulat Wijayanto, said that his party deployed 27 cars and 135 firefighters on Tuesday, September 21, last night.

"The temporary cause of the fire is suspected to be an electrical short circuit, but the police are still investigating further," he said, Wednesday, September 22.

Until now, the fire case is still under investigation by the South Jakarta Metro Police.
