COVID-19 Jakarta Slopes, Dozens Of COVID-19 Body Retrieval Teams Returned To Their Institutions

JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan has returned 52 members of the COVID-19 corpse recovery team who have worked for 18 months. The release of dozens of teams was carried out because the COVID-19 cases in Jakarta began to sag.

Anies released them to return to work in their respective agencies, including the Metro Jaya Police, Satpol PP, firefighters, and the DKI General Bureau.

"Today afternoon, their assignment as a corpse recovery team has been declared complete. Thank God the pandemic condition in Jakarta is under control, so they will return to their respective units and units to carry out their duties," said Anies at the National Monument area, Wednesday, September 22.

Anies also gave awards in the form of certificates to dozens of members of the COVID-19 corpse recovery team. Anies considers them to be officers who play a role in handling the pandemic.

"On this occasion I would like to convey to all that these 52 people are examples, role models, they choose to fulfill their obligations even though it is risky. Hopefully these 52 individuals can continue to be role models in your respective places of duty," said Anies. Anies asked them to display certificate of appreciation received in their respective homes. Anies is sure that the families will feel proud of the task of the 52-person burial team.

"I believe the experience you get during this pandemic can be a provision for greater work, which will have more impact on the journey of your life," he explained.
