East Kolaka Regent Andi Merya Nur Was Arrested By The KPK, The Southeast Sulawesi Provincial Government Will Find A Replacement

KENDARI - The Provincial Government of Southeast Sulawesi (Sultra) will appoint a daily executor (Plh) of the regent after the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) conducted a hand arrest operation (OTT) of East Kolaka Regent Andi Merya Nur.

Assistant I of the Regional Secretariat of Southeast Sulawesi Muhammad Ilyas Abibu when interviewed via his cell phone in Kendari, Wednesday, said that currently his party will conduct consultations with the Governor of Southeast Sulawesi regarding the appointment of the Daily Executor (Plh) of the East Kolaka Regent.

"Our first step will be to appoint a daily executor. Usually the daily executor is the Regional Secretary (Regional Secretary) who is appointed," said Ilyas as quoted by Antara, Wednesday, September 22.

He said the appointment of the Plh of the East Kolaka Regent was only temporary while waiting for legal certainty for the East Kolaka Regent Andi Merya Nur.

He conveyed that the appointment of the Plh took a maximum of a week while waiting for the appointment of an executor (Pj) who was appointed directly by the Governor of Southeast Sulawesi, Ali Mazi.

"The appointment of the Acting Officer if there is already a suspect determination. While waiting for the appointment of the Acting Officer, he will appoint a daily executive," he said. Previously, the East Kolaka Regent Andi Merya Nur was caught in a hand arrest operation (OTT) by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) at the Office of the Regent of East Kolaka, Matabondu Village, Tirawuta District, East Kolaka Regency on Tuesday, September 21 at around 21.00 WITA.

The regent has been examined by the KPK along with five other people for approximately 12 hours at the Directorate of Special Crime Investigation of the Southeast Sulawesi Regional Police.

The six are currently being flown to Jakarta using Batik Air airline with flight number ID-6725 at 15:45 WITA from Haluoleo Airport.

The aircraft used are direct flights to Soekarno-Hatta Airport, Cengkareng, Tangerang, Banten.

The Regent and five other people were closely guarded by personnel from the Southeast Sulawesi Regional Police. They are scheduled to arrive at Soekarno-Hatta Airport at around 17.45 WIB.
