Challenge Mayweather, De La Hoya Offers IDR 1.42 Trillion
JAKARTA - Oscar De La Hoya is once again considering returning to the ring. This time, he hopes to fight Floyd Mayweather.
The 48-year-old was supposed to return to boxing against Vitor Belfort on September 11, after a 13-year absence from the sport.
However, he tested positive for COVID-19 and ended up having to spend five days in the hospital. As a result, Evander Holyfield came down the mountain and replaced De La Hoya.
According to TMZ Sports, now De La Hoya is offering Mayweather $100 million to get into the ring and fight him.
Mayweather was one of five boxers to beat De La Hoya in his career, and now he wants revenge against the 44-year-old.
The last professional fight that Mayweather took part in was against Conor McGregor in 2017. Since the victory over The Notorious, he has taken part in exhibition fights several times.
