OTT In East Kolaka, KPK Arrests Several People

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) carried out a hand arrest operation (OTT) in East Kolaka, Southeast Sulawesi. This operation was held on Tuesday, September 21 last night.

Acting KPK Spokesperson for Enforcement, Ali Fikri, said that the investigation team had arrested a number of those suspected of carrying out racist practices. However, he did not specify who was caught in the silent operation.

"Information that we received, Tuesday, September 21 at around 8 pm, the KPK team managed to secure several parties in arresting activities related to alleged corruption in the East Kolaka Regency, Southeast Sulawesi," Ali told reporters, Wednesday, September 22.

He said all parties caught in the silent operation were being questioned for further information.

"Currently the parties arrested and detained are still in the process of requesting information by the KPK team," said Ali.

After the OTT is held, the anti-corruption commission has 1x24 hours according to the applicable regulations to determine the legal status of the arrested party. "KPK still has time to determine the position of the results of the investigation that is currently still ongoing," said Ali.
