In Indonesia, Japanese Conglomerate Takahisa Takahara's Producer Of MamyPoko And Charm Pads Raise Revenue Of IDR 4.45 Trillion
JAKARTA - PT Uni-Charm Indonesia Tbk (UCID) recorded a positive performance in the first semester of 2021. The growth in revenue of the Mamy Poko producer and Charm pads has succeeded in increasing the net profit of the issuer codenamed UCID shares.
In UCID's financial report on the information disclosure page of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX), quoted on Wednesday, September 22, the company owned by Japanese conglomerate Takahisa Takahara earned a profit for the period attributable to owners of the parent entity of Rp243.27 billion in the first semester of 2021. Profit it jumped 28.04 percent from the previous net profit of IDR 189.99 billion in the first half of 2020.
The increase in net profit was in line with the increase in UCID's net income which grew 8.03 percent, from previously Rp4.12 trillion in the first semester of 2020 to Rp4.45 trillion in the first six months of 2021.
UCID's cost of revenue was recorded at IDR 3.52 trillion as of June 2021, an increase of 8 percent from the original R 3.26 trillion as of June 2020.
Uni-Charm Indonesia also managed to book a gross profit of Rp931.42 billion. That number increased by 8.12 percent compared to the same period last year worth Rp.861.41 billion.
However, UCID still recorded swelling in a number of expense items in the first six months of this year. For example, selling expenses, which rose 11.04 percent, from Rp445.94 billion to Rp495.20 billion.
An increase was also found in general and administrative expenses by 48.30 percent to Rp124.87 billion. Meanwhile, in the same period last year, it was only recorded at Rp. 84.19 billion.
Uni-Charm Indonesia is a company controlled by Japanese conglomerate Unicharm Corporation owned by tycoon Takahasi Takahara. He is one of the richest people in Japan with a wealth of 8.4 billion US dollars or around 120 trillion rupiah (exchange rate of 14,300 rupiah per US dollar).
