KPU Proposes A Budget Of IDR 8 Trillion For 2022
JAKARTA - The General Elections Commission (KPU) has proposed a budget requirement for the administration of elections for the 2022 fiscal year, which is Rp8.061 trillion.
KPU chairman Ilham Saputra in a meeting with Commission II of the DPR said the proposal was submitted after careful scrutiny and budget efficiency.
"We propose that the KPU budget needs for the 2022 budget year before the observation is Rp. 13.295 trillion," he said, quoted by Antara, Tuesday, September 21.
Then, in accordance with the results of the work meeting and RDP on September 16, the KPU continued, Ilham continued, to carry out further scrutiny and efficiency on the proposed additional budget for the 2024 simultaneous general election for the 2022 fiscal year.
This amount, said Ilham, is the total of the KPU's budget ceiling for the 2022 fiscal year with the proposed KPU budget shortfall for 2022.
According to Ilham, the KPU's budget ceiling, according to a joint letter from the Minister of Finance and Bappenas, is Rp. 2.452 trillion. Then the proposed budget shortfall for 2022 is IDR 5.608 trillion.
The proposed budget shortfall has also passed the original scrutiny and efficiency, according to him, the proposed amount is Rp. 10,842 trillion.
At the meeting, Ilham also conveyed the budget that has been realized by the KPU in 2021. "The realization of the 2021 KPU budget until September 17 reached 69.17 percent, 72.28 percent for operations, 76.65 percent for personnel expenditures and 58 offices. 06 percent, for non-operational by 45.74 percent," he said.
