Kasuari Military Commander: Build The Land Of Papua With Peace
MANOKWARI - Pangdam XVIII/Casuari Maj. Gen. TNI I Nyoman Cantiasa said that the Land of Papua is a legacy from our ancestors that must be preserved. All parties must build Papua with full peace.
"My job here is to maintain stability and security so that we live by loving each other, loving because we humans are God's creations and only God can take lives," said the Military Commander in Manokwari, quoted by Antara, Tuesday, September 21.
The Pangdam is also the customary child of Man Waren Saireri who was inaugurated when he was the Danrem in Biak. This moment made him more confident, totally to work in this land of Papua and to have many relatives in Papua.
"I as Man Waren Saireri strongly support what LMA will continue to do, because it is directly in contact with customs. Cultural customs are the traditional civilizations of our ancestors and ancestors, but they cannot be static, they must be dynamic with the times," he said.
The Pangdam appealed to the leaders to invite children and youth not to come into conflict because it would end suffering, misery and grief.
He emphasized that the noble values contained in Pancasila have proven to be the unifier of the Indonesian nation to this day. It must continue to be excavated, planted, fertilized and maintained to be passed on to the next generation.
"We must be confident to be independent in maintaining, managing and preserving this extraordinary natural wealth, through joint hard work accompanied by innovation and creativity, as a form of love for the country and the nation. As a condition, the unity and integrity of the nation must be maintained, " he said.
The Military Commander also spoke about the COVID-19 issue in West Papua by appreciating all the figures in West Papua for working together to fight the outbreak so that COVID-19 cases in West Papua decreased.
"If we are united in one vision and goal, we can overcome all these challenges. Therefore, the synergy between us, between government institutions and all components of society is the key to our strength in facing these challenges," he said.
