The Latest Developments Of Nirwan And Indra Bakrie Who Were Entangled In The Rp22 Billion BLBI Case
JAKARTA - The Daily Head of the Bank Indonesia Liquidity Assistance Task Force (BLBI) Rionald Silaban said that the Bakrie duo who were caught in a state debt case amounting to Rp22.67 billion had fulfilled the scheduled call.
However, Rionald said that if the arrival was represented by a legal representative and was not attended directly by the person concerned.
"In this case, his attorney (law) came and spoke with us," he said during a virtual press conference, Tuesday, September 21.
Rionald was also reluctant to explain in more detail what procedures the Bakrie brothers had gone through. According to him, this is part of the Task Force's policy and should not be widely publicized.
"There have been developments, and for the process I can't comment yet," said Rionald.
In the previous VOI report, the Task Force summoned Nirwan Dermawan Bakrie and Indra Usmansyah Bakrie in an announcement in the mass media last week. The use of public space as a medium for summons had to be taken because the two of them did not comply with the first and second invitations that were delivered personally.
"We hereby request your presence on Friday, September 17, 2021, at 09.00-11.00 at Syarifudin Prawiranegara Building, 1st floor, Ministry of Finance, Central Jakarta, to settle the state's claim rights of at least Rp. 22.67 billion related to debtor obligations of former Bank Putera Multikarsas," said summons issued by the Task Force some time ago.
Apart from Bakrie Cs, the state also summoned four other parties, namely PT Usaha Mediatronika Nusantara, Andrus Roestam Moenaf, Pinkan Warrouw, and Anton Setianto.
Previously, the BLBI Task Force had also summoned through the mass media Hutomo Mandala Putra alias Tommy Suharto and Setiawan Harjono, who is also known to be the besan of the former Second House of Representatives Setya Novanto. Unfortunately, both of them were not mentioned on the agenda.
