MIT Poso Group Hunt, 7 Terrorists Disabled Throughout 2021
JAKARTA - The Madago Raya Task Force continues to hunt for the East Indonesia Mujahidin terrorist group (MIT) in the Poso network, Central Sulawesi. Although, not long ago the central figure of the group, Ali Kalora, was successfully paralyzed.
The hunt for the MIT group is not an easy matter. However, the joint TNI-Polri team was able to overcome it.
Evidently, throughout 2021, seven of the eleven MIT members who were on the wanted list were successfully disabled.
This proves that the TNI-Polri can guarantee public safety. Where, before, the MIT group often spread terror by carrying out attacks. In fact, killing four residents in Lemban Tongoa, Sigi, Central Sulawesi, on 27 November.
Formation of KoopsgabsusOn the basis of the terror act by the MIT group, the TNI leadership immediately took a stand. The TNI's Special Joint Operations Command (Koopsgabsus) was formed and immediately deployed to Poso to hunt down eleven DPOs from the MIT group.
At that time, there were two groups that often spread terror. They are, the Qatar group and the Ali Kalora group. These two groups often hide in the interior of the forests and mountains of Poso, Sigi and Parimo, Central Sulawesi.
At that time, the Tricakti Koopsgabsus troops under the leadership of Major General Richard TH Tampubolon carried out a series of operations in a coordinated manner with the Madago Raya Task Force. The two task forces have been working together since early January 2021.
Ali Kalora Was SurroundedIn the hunt for the MIT group, the TNI Koopsgabsus troops started the hunt in the Poso, Parimo and Sigi operational areas.
It is undeniable that the terrain faced is quite difficult. However, a small team from Koopsgabsus Tricakti which has high combat power and high cruising is able to overcome it.
In fact, Koopsgabsus Tricakti and the Madago Raya Task Force had surrounded the MIT group in their hiding place.
"The Ali Kalora group was successfully besieged for the first time by the Chandraca 5 Koopsgabsus Team and the Madago Raya Task Force in the Taunca Forest on February 2, 2021," said the Koopsgabsus Analyst Team in Poso, Colonel Inf Henri Mahyudi when confirmed, Tuesday, September 21.
Unfortunately, the MIT group managed to escape. Because, they just see and know the terrain which is a wilderness.
"However, Ali Kalora's group managed to escape shortly before the joint TNI-Polri team arrived at the location," he said.
However, the joint TNI-Polri apparatus managed to confiscate various equipment from the MIT group. Then, continue the hunt in a coordinated manner.
Until finally, the Tricakti Koopsgabsus and the Madago Raya Task Force through the Chandrasa 2 Koopsgabsus team, finally managed to ambush and engage in a shootout with Ali Kalora's group and three other terrorists in the Watumatoto Mountains, Tambarana Village, Poso Pesisir District on March 1, 2021.
In that gun battle, two Poso terrorists were killed in the ambush. Where, one of them is Irul alias Khairul who is the son-in-law of Santoso, the previous leader of the Poso terrorists. While the other terrorist is Alvin alias Samil.
Gun contact is like a risk of life. Because, Ali Kalora's group gave resistance. They returned fire and threw homemade bombs and rice cakes.
"During the ambush Ali Kalora was shot in the leg, but together with Jaka Ramadan managed to escape by jumping into a ravine taking advantage of the dark weather in the dense forest and the location of the crime scene which is very far from residential areas," said Henri.
Qatar Killed In AmbushA few days later, the TNI Koopsgabsus together with the Madago Raya Task Force again killed two Poso terrorist DPOs. The two are Qatar and Rukli.
Success was hard earned. Where, the joint team for days traveled through rough terrain and followed the footsteps of the Qatari group's escape in the hilly areas of the forest interior of Tokasa, Tanahlanto, Parimo Regency.
The two terrorists were killed on the spot in a silent operation that took place in the early hours of the morning at around 03.00 WITA, on Sunday, July 11, 2021.
Meanwhile, Qatar is known as a sadistic figure. Because he is the main executor of the Poso terrorists.
Qatar is also known as Amir or leader in the Poso terrorist group network. This was revealed in a number of documents that were successfully disassembled and analyzed by the Koopsgabsus Analyst Team.
Apparently, Qatar and Ali Kalora decided to separate. Because, there is a discrepancy and contradiction between the two terrorist leaders.
"The joint team of the Madago Raya Task Force succeeded in ambushing and shooting dead a terrorist named Abu Alim six days after the Tokasa raid on Saturday, July 17," he said.
"Abu Alim had escaped from the Tricakti 3 Team's attack by jumping into the valley. He took advantage of the dark weather and dense forests in the Batutiga, Torue, Parimo areas," he continued.
Ali Kalora DiedWith that series of ambushes, the MIT group was left with six people. Where, the group was led by Ali Kalora.
Two months of hunting continues. Until finally, another gun battle took place at the Plantation close to the village of Dusun Astina, Balinggi, Parimo, on Saturday, September 18.
In the gunfight, two MIT terrorists were killed. From the results of the identification, they are Ali Kalora and Jaka Ramadan.
"Thus, the hunting operation carried out by the joint TNI-Polri Task Force has succeeded in crippling 7 MIT Poso Terrorist DPOs, including figures namely Qatar and Ali Kalora in the period January to mid-September 2021," said Henri.
Thus, there are currently four members of the MIT group. They are thought to be still in the Pariomo area.
Pangkoopsgabsus Tricakti Maj. Gen. Richard TH Tampubolon only answered briefly that currently only four terrorist DPOs were left. He, who also serves as the Commander of the TNI's Koopssus, asked for support from the community so that all terrorist DPOs could be arrested immediately.
"We ask for prayers and support for all soldiers who continue to be aggressive and work hard in the field, so that they can immediately destroy the remaining four terrorist DPOs," said the former Deputy Danjen Kopassus.
"So that the pursuit efforts carried out jointly between the TNI and Polri can run smoothly to ensure the security and safety of the community," added Major General Richard.
