Still A Member Of The National Police, Propam Schedules Ethics Session Of Inspector General Napoleon Bonaparte
JAKARTA - The National Police's Professional and Security Division (Propam) has prepared a code of ethics trial for Inspector General Napoleon Bonaparte. Ethics trial as a follow-up to the 4-year prison sentence for the abolition of red notices and DPOs on Immigration.
"The Police's Code of Ethics Commission has prepared an Ethics Commission hearing against Inspector General NB," said the Head of the National Police's Propam Division, Inspector General Ferdy Sambo, in his statement, Monday, September 20.
The plan is that the ethics trial will only be held after the judge's decision has permanent legal force. This is because Napoleon Bonaparte plans to appeal the decision of the DKI Jakarta High Court.
"After the decision of the Cassation," said Sambo.
With the ethics trial yet to be held, Napoleon Bonaparte's status is still an active member of the National Police. He also still holds the rank of Inspector General or two stars.
"Irjen NB is still an active member of the National Police," said Sambo.
Previously, the National Police Propam intervened to examine the officers guarding the Bareskrim detention center. The examination is to ensure that there is no violation of the duty of care at the detention center.
"Propam Polri has also examined prison guard officers who are suspected of not carrying out their duties properly, resulting in persecution in the detention cell," said Sambo.
There are indications that the duty officers did not perform their duties properly because there were allegations that Napoleon Bonaparte used his rank as a two-star general to intervene.
Inspector General Napoleon Bonaparte is suspected of using his rank to overcome the supervision of prison officers during an act of persecution against Muhammad Kece. To prove this allegation, the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Police also examined four guard officers.
"On the other hand, the person concerned (Napoleon Bonaparte) is also still this superior, with a subordinate guarding the detainees. We'll question that later," said the Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police Inspector General Argo Yuwono.
In addition, the examination of the officers was also to explore several other things. For example, the beginning of the persecution until the action of Napoleon smearing Muhammad Kece with human waste.
"Later there we will find out what happened," said Argo.
"What is the chronology like, what are we waiting for," he continued.
Meanwhile, Muhammad Kece reported that he had been a victim of persecution. The report is registered with the number LP: 0510/VIII/2021/Bareskrim, dated August 26, 2021.
After being investigated, it turned out that the perpetrator of the alleged abuse case was Inspector General Napoleon Bonaparte. Not only beating, Napoleon was also known to smear human feces on M. Kece's face.
Currently, the case is in the investigation stage. Several witnesses, ranging from officers from the detention center and inmates, have been questioned.
