After The Vandalism Of The Shoe Monument, Deputy Governor Of DKI Riza Patria Will Prepare Graffiti Locations

JAKARTA - Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta Ahmad Riza Patria admitted that his party will prepare a forum to distribute graffiti activities in Jakarta. This is the aftermath of vandalism against the shoe monument in the Sudirman area, Central Jakarta.

"We will think about it later, good places for friends to hold, channel ideas, ideas, creativity well. Later, we will find a place and coordinate it to the relevant agencies," said Riza at DKI City Hall, Central Jakarta, Monday, September 20.

Riza welcomes young people in Jakarta to channel their creativity. However, that doesn't mean they can doodle in public facilities.

"Friends or younger siblings who have good creative abilities about murals, about graffiti, so they don't carry out their activities in public places, like yesterday at the shoe monument. Do it in a good place that is possible," he said.

It was previously reported that the Shoe Monument was a victim of vandalism. This caused residents who wanted to take pictures in front of the installation to feel disturbed.

For information, this monument is the result of the collaboration of a number of parties including the BUMD PT Jakarta Tourisindo. This shoe-shaped installation was built near Sudirman BNI City Station, Central Jakarta.

Riza regretted the vandalism at the recently inaugurated monument. In fact, said Riza, the creation of the collaboration monument can beautify Jakarta.

"The shoe monument was made in collaboration to beautify the city of Jakarta, to provide opportunities for MSME creativity. Then there are those who scribble, some are not wise and not good," he said.

Therefore, Riza ensured that the perpetrators of the Tugu Shoes vandalism in Sudirman would be thoroughly investigated by law enforcement officials. "Of course later the authorities will thoroughly investigate who did it," he said.
