Suspected Drunk Man Throws Himself Into Kali Item, Found Dead
JAKARTA - Head of the Jakarta SAR Mission Coordinator's Search and Rescue Office, Hendra Sudirman, finally found the body of Riyanto (18) who died in the Item River, Tanjung Priok District, North Jakarta.
The victim was first discovered by the joint SAR team who were conducting visual observations on the banks of the Item River, Tanjung Priok District, North Jakarta.
The victim was found with a radius of approximately 11 meters from the scene.
The combined SAR elements involved in the search consisted of the Jakarta Search and Rescue Office, North Jakarta Fire Department, Water Resources Service, Sunter Jaya Police, DKI Jakarta BPBD, Tj. Priuk, AGD DKI Jakarta Health Office, IEA, Medical rescue, Katar sunter agung, TBI, DMC DD, Palabaja, ACT MRI Jakut, SAR Ukhuwah Al-Fatah, and the local community.
"We found the victim on Sunday night at around 21.29 WIB, then we took him to the RSCM for further investigation," said Hendra to VOI, Monday, September 20, morning.
The victim's body was evacuated to the RSCM using a body bag, for further investigation.
"Diving efforts are hampered by the zero visibility factor and the mud is very deep, so it can endanger the diver," said Hendra.
Previously, it was reported that a man named Riyanto (18) drowned in Kali Hitam, Tanjung Priok District, North Jakarta on Sunday, September 19 yesterday. According to information, the victim plunged into the river because it was suspected that he was drunk and lost consciousness.
"The search for Riyanto was previously carried out by dozens of joint SAR personnel. Officers divided the search area into two areas," he said.
The first SRU conducts a search using a Rubber Boat with a distance of 2 KM from the incident location, then the second SRU conducts a visual search of the land route with a distance of 1 KM from the incident location.
