Angelo Alessio Admits Persija Is Having A Hard Time Facing Persipura's Fast Game

JAKARTA - Persija Jakarta coach Angelo Alessio admitted that his team had difficulty dealing with Persipura's fast game in the third match of the 2021/22 Indonesian League 1 which ended in a goalless draw at the Indomilk Arena Stadium, Tangerang, Sunday night.

"Actually, from the course of the match, the two teams had the same opportunity, but we did have some difficulties with Persipura's fast game," said Coach Angelo, in a virtual press conference after the match, reported Antara.

Throughout the match the Kemayoran Tigers created several opportunities, but Persipura often troubled Persija's defense with quick attacks.

Angelo admitted that his foster children had implemented the strategy he had planned but he felt that luck had not taken sides.

Regardless of luck, Angelo wants Persija to continue to improve their game in the following matches.

He also admitted that he understood the sadness of the Jakmania because their favorite had not won this season, but emphasized that the players had worked hard.

In fact, Angelo said that in the third week of the match, players had seen progress, both in terms of the quality of the game and their physical condition compared to the previous two matches.

Persija are next scheduled to face Persela Lamongan on Friday.
