UPN Veterans Jakarta Plans Face-to-face Lectures Mid-October 2021
JAKARTA - A number of universities are starting to prepare to hold face-to-face learning (PTM) on their campuses. One of them is the Veterans National Development University (UPN) Jakarta.
UPN Veterans Jakarta Chancellor Erna Hernawati said that her party would hold a face-to-face lecture in mid-October 2021.
"We will start face-to-face classes after the midterm exam (UTS). It is estimated that it will be held in mid-October. We are currently preparing," Erna said in a short message to VOI, Saturday, September 18.
Erna said the face-to-face lectures would be carried out in accordance with a joint decree of the four ministries (SKB) for the implementation of PTM during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The decrees are Joint Decrees of the Minister of Education and Culture, Minister of Religion, Minister of Health and Minister of Home Affairs Number 03/KB/202l, Number 384 of 2021, Number HK.01.08/MENKES/4242/2021, Number 440-717 of 2021 concerning Guidelines for the Implementation of Learning in the Time of the COVID-19 Pandemic.
Besides UPN Veterans, Universitas Gadjah Mada will also hold face-to-face lectures in October. Then, the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) will hold face-to-face lectures at the end of September.
For information, the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology has allowed schools and universities to hold limited PTM starting in July 2021.
Educators and education personnel who take part in PTM must have been vaccinated. Then, parents or guardians can choose for their children to do limited PTM or continue to carry out PJJ. Meanwhile, the health protocol rules follow the Instructions of the Minister of Home Affairs which apply to the implementation of PPKM in each region.
