The First Season Of Yumi's Cells Will Focus On Kim Go Eun's Character

JAKARTA - Actress Kim Go Eun returns to acting with the Korean drama Yumi's Cells. This drama is an adaptation of a webtoon of the same name and is projected to be divided into several seasons.

Director Lee Sang Yeob explained that the story of Yumi's Cells is long, so it would be difficult for them to fit all the stories into one season.

"I think it's difficult to put everything in one season. So the first season will introduce Yumi's Cells and focus on her romance with Woong," said Lee Sang Yeob as reported by Naver today, September 18.

Yumi's Cells is a Korean drama that tells the story of an ordinary employee named Yumi. In her brain, there are cells that regulate every movement, thought, and feeling of Yumi.

One day, Yumi falls into a coma after she breaks up. The cells try to help Yumi fall in love again.

Kim Go Eun as the main character feels that Yumi's character is not easy to play. "There are many small elements in the story that I can feel, and I feel touched while acting," said Kim Go Eun.

He admitted that he had doubts before taking this project, so he read the webtoon before making a decision.

"It's not easy to find a character who has an ordinary life and the story is fun how Yumi's cell expresses her thoughts," he continued.
