Steps To Be Taken When Receiving Online Groceries During The COVID-19 Pandemic
JAKARTA - During the COVID-19 pandemic, Indonesians prefer to shop online or online rather than leaving the house.
Reisa Broto Asmoro, communication team member of the Task Force for the Acceleration of Handling of COVID-19, said there are several things that must be done to ensure that our groceries are safe from exposure to COVID-19.
First, said Reisa, the recipient of the package must provide a special place in front of the house. The goal is that there is no direct contact with the courier who delivers.
"For those of you who want to receive a package, prepare a special place in front of the house so that the package can be placed by the courier without meeting us directly," Reisa said in a video broadcast on the BNPB YouTube account, Sunday, July 12.
After the package is placed, the owner can go out and immediately wrap any unnecessary containers or packaging. After disposing of unnecessary packaging or packaging, package owners should immediately wash their hands with running water and soap.
"Second, clean the container with disinfectant on the outside," he said.
Reisa explained, for items in the form of cooked or raw food, cleaning can be done by wiping them with a wet tissue. He also prohibited the use of disinfectants in food containers so that harmful substances are not mixed into the food in them.
Meanwhile, for foods such as fruits and vegetables, you can wash them directly with running water or special soap that is safe for food or foodgrade.
"Then, if the food we receive is cooked food, it is advisable to reheat it with a minimum temperature of 65 degrees Celsius for three minutes," he explained.
Furthermore, Reisa reminded the public to always wash their hands before consuming food from online shopping.
Previously, a number of e-commerce sites competed with each other to be the best choice in Indonesia. According to the results of the CupoNation site survey, Tokopedia is in the top ranking as the most visited site throughout 2019.
"Tokopedia is the online shop most visited by Indonesians, with a total of 1.2 billion visitors, divided from 863.1 million visitors from the mobile web and 329.8 million visitors from the desktop," CupoNation said in a report via the website.
Next in second place, is occupied by Shopee, which has a total number of visitors of 837.1 million. This number surpassed Bukalapak, which got 823.5 million visitors.
CupoNation also revealed that Indonesians prefer to shop online via their smartphone rather than the desktop version.
This is confirmed by an e-commerce study from Frost & Sullivan's which said that currently there is an increasing trend of consumers who are increasingly fond of shopping applications via their smartphones.
Shopback in his study also strengthens the dominance of cellphones in the e-commerce industry, online shopping applications on mobile phones contribute the most traffic on e-commerce platforms today.
More specifically, the emergence of innovative features on the e-commerce platform to create other activities besides shopping, namely paying electricity bills, BPJS, buying plane and train tickets, so that it is more efficient in time than doing it offline. Of course this is the reason for increasing traffic through mobile applications.
"This shows that almost all online shoppers in Indonesia prefer online shopping using smartphones rather than desktops," wrote CupoNation.
From the results of this e-commerce ranking, Indonesians can choose which online shopping application or site is the safest to use for online transactions.
