Healed COVID-19 And Negative Swab Results, But Can Still Infect 1 Family

MAGELANG - A child who just returned from Jakarta to Mertoyudan District, Magelang, Central Java, infected four other members of his family. This incident is proof that returning home is still vulnerable to the danger of COVID-19.

Four people in a family in Mertoyudan District were confirmed positive for Covid-19 on Friday, July 10. Two men aged 72 years and 14 years, and two other women 63 years and nine years.

Spokesperson for the Covid-19 Task Force in Magelang Regency, Nanda Cahyadi Pribadi, explained their findings were based on the results of tracing conducted by the Task Force for the Acceleration of Handling Covid-19. One family was exposed to their child traveling from Jakarta.

This case also reveals new facts. The child, said Nanda, had previously been treated because he was confirmed to have COVID-19. It became a problem because the child was confirmed to be cured based on the results of the swab

"Apart from traveling from Jakarta, his son had previously undergone treatment at Tidar Hospital because of Covid-19. However, after undergoing several intensive treatments, he was declared cured after the results of his last two swabs tested negative," said Nanda as quoted from the official website of the Central Java Provincial Government. .

With the addition of these four positive patients, said Nanda, the number of positive patients treated was seven from the previous three.

"Now the cumulative number of positive patients in Magelang district is 149 people. The details, seven were treated, four died and 138 recovered, "he continued.

Apart from adding four positives, on the same day there were also two more Patients Under Supervision (PDP). Both are residents of Sawangan District. However, there were four PDP people who recovered. They came from Salam, Grabag, Srumbung, and Pakis Districts.

"With the addition of two new (PDP) and four (people) recovered, the cumulative number of PDPs becomes 300 people. Consisting of eight (people) were treated, 36 (people) died and 256 (people) recovered," he explained.

For People Under Monitoring (ODP), now there are only eight people who are still being monitored.

"For those treated in the hospital, now there are 14 people. "There are two people at Tidar Hospital, three people at Soerodjo Hospital, four at Muntilan Hospital, three at Red and White Hospital and one person each from Soedjono Hospital and Kariadi Hospital," he said.

With the number of confirmed positive patients and PDP, this indicates that the Corona virus in Magelang Regency still exists. For this reason, his party continues to ask the public to adhere to health protocols. Namely checking body temperature, wearing a mask, washing hands with soap or hand sanitizer, maintaining a minimum distance of one meter and avoiding crowds.

"Another thing, eating nutritious food, getting enough exercise and drinking vitamins and maintaining endurance," he concluded.
