After The Tangerang Class I Prison Fire, Victor Teguh Kalapas Deactivated
JAKARTA - The head of the Tangerang Class I Penitentiary, Victor Teguh Prihartono, has been suspended from his post after a fire incident that claimed lives. This was conveyed by the Head of Public Relations and Protocol of the Directorate General of Corrections, Rika Aprianti through a short message to reporters.
"Deactivated for the inspection process of the Inspectorate General of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights," said Rika, Friday, September 17.
Rika said, the deactivation of the Kalapas position was for the purposes of the inspection process of the Inspectorate General of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights (HAM), after the fire incident which resulted in 41 deaths.
Victor Teguh Prihartono was deactivated effective today, 17 September. And currently the Class I Kalapas Tangerang is occupied by the Acting Head of the Correctional Division of the Banten Ministry of Law and Human Rights, Nirhono Jatmokoadi.
"Today and currently the Tangerang Class 1 Prison is being held accountable by the Acting Head of the Correctional Division at the Banten Ministry of Law and Human Rights," said Rika.
