Award For 5 Medical Workers Who Died In Central Java From The Minister Of Health Terawan

JAKARTA - Accompanied by the Governor of Central Java Ganjar Prabowo, Minister of Health Terawan Agus Putranto handed over compensation for death and awards for medical personnel who died while handling the COVID-19 pandemic. He said the five medical personnel who died were heroes and should be role models.

"The dedication of this peer can be an example and the health workers who have died are heroes in the medical field," said Terawan as quoted from the Ministry of Health website, Sunday, July 12.

He said, the struggle of medical personnel and the community in Indonesia as the frontline against the COVID-19 pandemic has not ended.

Terawan hopes that this compensation can be useful for the family of the medical personnel who died. "We convey great sorrow and loss, and hope that this compensation can benefit the families of health workers who have died," he said.

The Head of PPSDMK of the Ministry of Health Abdul Kadir who participated in this event conveyed this compensation and award as an appreciation from the government to health workers who have struggled to carry out their duties.

This compensation is given to a family of five health workers represented by their heirs, namely:

Yuni Wuryaningsih, AMK from Puskesmas Sayung, Demak Yadi Siswanto, S.Kep from Puskesmas Bangsri I, Jepara dr. Sovian Endy Pradjoko from Dr. R. Soedjati Soemodiardjo Siti Fatimah, AMK from RSUD RA Kartini Jepara Dr. Sang Aji Widi A, from Puskesmas Karanganyar

Previously, on Saturday, July 11 yesterday, Central Java was one of the provinces that experienced the most increase in COVID-19 cases, along with East Java and DKI Jakarta.

It is known, the number of additional cases in East Java yesterday reached 409 new cases and a total of 16,140 cases. This figure then puts East Java as the province with the most accumulated cases in Indonesia.

Then, the provinces with other high new cases are in DKI Jakarta with 378 cases and a total of 14,113 cases, South Sulawesi with 180 new cases and 6,800 total cases, Central Java with 100 new cases and a total of 5,403 cases, North Sumatra with 87 new cases and total 2,284 cases, and South Kalimantan with 79 new cases and a total of 4,069 cases.

As for the addition of cases nationally the number reached 1,671 people with a cumulative total of 74,018 people. While the number of patients who died increased by 66 people, so that a total of 3,535 patients and the number of patients recovered the number of 1,190 patients recovered the total to 34,719 patients.
