Ricardo's Body, Victim Of Class I Tangerang Prison, Sent To Portugal Tomorrow

JAKARTA - The DVI Commander of the Tangerang Class I Prison Fire, Kombes Hery Wijatmoko will hand over the delivery of the body of Ricardo Ussumane Embalo bin Antonio Embalo (51) A Portuguese citizen who became a victim of the Tangerang Class I prison fire. The handover will be on Saturday 18 September, tomorrow.

"The Portuguese (foreign bodies) only have to deliver (send) to their families and hand them over from prison, there will be information, God willing, on Saturday," said Kombes Hery Wijatmoko to reporters, Friday, September 17.

However, the DVI Commander of the Tangerang Class I Fire Prison has not been able to confirm the time for sending Ricardo's body to Portugal.

"Yesterday there were representatives from the embassy who arranged for the shipping process to be sent to Portugal on Saturday, but the time will also be re-examined," he said.

For sending bodies to Portugal, continued Hery, there are certain procedures that need to be completed so it takes time to be able to hand them over to the family.

"There are companies that take care of corpses abroad, usually there are procedures that must be completed, so it takes time," he said.

Meanwhile, the Director of Security and Order, the Directorate General of Corrections (Ditjenpas), Abdul Aris, confirmed the information that Ricardo's body was sent to Portugal on Saturday.

"The information is correct, it has been taken care of at the Embassy (Embassy), we only help the Embassy, where to send it, to the airport or where. If we want to take it later, we don't know yet, we haven't received a report," he said.

Abdul Aris said that Ricardo's body would be dispatched by plane from Soekarno Hatta Airport, Cengkareng, Tangerang.
