Pellegrini: There Was Passion When Mourinho Arrived In Rome

JAKARTA - Lorenzo Pellegrini admits there has been passion in Rome since Jose Mourinho arrived. And they believe, the trophy will arrive this season.

The captain scored twice in the Giallorossi's 5-1 win over CSKA Sofia in the Conference League last night at the Stadio Olimpico.

One of his goals was scored spectacularly through a curling lob into the far top corner from the edge of the box.

"The game went well, but the important thing was that the ball went into the net," Pellegrini told Sky Sport Italia.

CSKA Sofia took the lead when Graham Carey pounced on a Roma backline error.

"They surprised us and it was important to turn this around."

Roma have now won six games played in all competitions under Mourinho. Of course, this result makes fans and players excited.

"This is just the beginning. There is something special at Trigoria this year, a passion since Mourinho's arrival that I have never felt before at this club. We have to keep going like this and keep improving if we want to win something.

"You get to feel something special that I personally have never felt before in Rome."
