October, Women Of Hell Airs On Netflix

JAKARTA - The film Perempuan Tanah Jahanam by Joko Anwar will be broadcast on the Netflix streaming service. This announcement was made for the first time via Netflix's social media on Thursday, September 17.

The Tanah Jahanam woman tells about Maya (Tara Basro) who is experiencing financial difficulties. Together with her friend, Dini (Marissa Anita), they go to a village to look for a house left by their parents.

Maya and Dini encounter mysterious things in the village but they ignore them. Unknowingly, Maya's past threatens Maya and Dini's lives.

Women from the Land of Hell also starred Ario Bayu, Asmara Abigail, Christine Hakim, Faradina Mufti, and others.

“It has been two years since the Women of the Land of Hell stole local and global attention, and we are excited to bring back the Harjosari Village experience through Netflix,” said director Joko Anwar.

The film Perempuan Tanah Jahanam is one of the highest-grossing horror films in Indonesia. In addition, this film also won several awards such as the Citra Cup of the 2020 Indonesian Film Festival and the 2020 Bucheon International Film Festival.

Women of the Land of Hell will be released on Netflix on October 1st.
