Governor Of Bali Meets With Tourism Association: No One Percent Needs To Doubt My Commitment To Awakening Tourism

DENPASAR - Bali Governor Wayan Koster invites all components of Bali tourism to be compact and fully committed to supporting the government's efforts to realize the rise of Bali tourism from adversity due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

"Make this, our joint commitment so that it can be done as soon as possible, we will create a one island green zone. If we want to be faster, we must be solid, committed, and reduce egoism," said Governor Koster when receiving Bali tourism actors, tourism associations and PHRI Bali in Jayasabha, Denpasar, Bali, Thursday, September 16.

Koster said, generating tourism in Bali is a shared desire, both from the provincial and central government.

"There is no need to doubt that for tourism, the Deputy Governor and I are committed to revitalizing Bali tourism. So there is no need to hesitate, even 1 percent is not in doubt," he explained.

In order for Bali's tourism to rise, Koster asked for synergy, mutual cooperation from all parties. The Bali Provincial Government continued Koster trying very hard to control the COVID-19 pandemic, which had experienced a spike in cases in recent months, especially since the entry of the delta variant which has a high transmission rate.

"But thanks to hard work, now it has started to slope. However, we must understand very well, that positive cases greatly affect tourist arrivals. If cases are low without being invited, tourists will definitely come. in Bali," he said.

Therefore, a well-managed patient management program is followed by vaccination activities and accompanied by strict implementation of health procedures in the community. This is the key to ensuring the control of COVID-19 cases in Bali.

"So I ask for support, especially tourism actors, to make these policies a success," said Koster.

According to Koster, tourism actors in Bali are professional people who are very superior in terms of human resources who will therefore be very competent later in supporting the return of Bali tourism to rise.

"Tourism actors are experienced people. I am sure that if the pandemic passes, we will soon rise, because we have experiences such as the Bali Bombing 1, Bali Bombing 2, then the SARS virus, the eruption of Mount Agung, and we can go through everything," he said.
