Denny Siregar Defends Jokowi's High Speed Train Project, Denny Siregar Defends: Halah, In The SBY Era It Was Stuck
JAKARTA - Deputy Chairman of the Budget Agency Edhie Baskoro Yudhoyono alias Ibas 'nudged' several projects that were being worked on by the Joko Widodo (Jokowi) government during a Working Committee Meeting at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta.
One of them concerns the high-speed train project to the Red and White Bridge in Ambon. Ibas said that many programs were running but it was not clear where they would end.
"If possible (the project, ed) the fast train will also be completed. I have seen it directly with members of the Indonesian House of Representatives Commission VI, although this fast train project has its pros and cons, I am sure the people will be happy when it is finished," said Ibas some time ago.
Ibas' statement received a lopsided response from social media activist, Denny Siregar. According to him, this project is still running and there is no corruption.
"Halah, Ibas.. This fast train is a project that continues to run, nothing has been corrupted. If next year it is done, this project will become a symbol of Indonesia's adaptation in the technology era. Try to build it in the era of @SBYudhoyono, it might stall," tweeted Denny, quoted from his Twitter account, @Dennysiregar, Thursday, September 15th.
He added that the construction of the Jakarta-Bandung high-speed train is far from the fuss over land acquisition, as is common in various government projects.
"That's because the government adheres to the concept of compensation for profit, not loss. The swelling (development budget) is due to the high price of land acquisition. But as long as people enjoy it, it doesn't matter. the name is a pro-people government. Try if it was built during the New Order era. It would be noisy everywhere .. "explained Denny.
Back to Ibas. In addition to mentioning the high-speed train project, the man with a doctoral degree spoke about the Trans-Sumatra to the Southern Cross Road (JLS) in East Java. According to him, until now the payment for JLS is not clear.
The meeting discussed the basic assumptions, income, deficit, and financing for the discussion of the Bill on the 2022 State Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBN).
