Police Arrest Syndicate Of Embezzlement Of Rented Car Calya In Bali, Sold By Perpetrators For IDR 12 Million
GIANYAR- Sukawati Police Team, Gianyar, Bali, arrested two syndicates of car embezzlement and forgery of state documents. The two perpetrators are I Gusti Putu Noor Hairul (37) from Jembrana Regency, Bali, and Ni Made Emi Riana Wulandari (34) from Tabanan Regency, Bali.
"They are suspected of being a syndicate of car fraud or embezzlement, falsification of state documents such as ID cards, family cards (KK) birth certificates, death certificates, NPWP to business licenses," said Sukawati Police Chief, AKP I Made Ariawan, Thursday, September 16.
They were arrested on Saturday, September 11 in Malang, East Java. Two other people, their colleagues named Gede and Wayan are still on the Wanted List (DPO).
The disclosure of the case was based on the report of victim I Ketut Artayasa, on Tuesday, August 17. At that time, the victim's employee named Voldy Runtuahu at the Seroja Blambangan Sejahtera Cooperative on Jalan Pasekan Banjar Batuaji, Gianyar Regency, Bali, came a man who claimed to be named I Made Dedi Putrawan.
At that time I Made Dedi rented a Toyota Cayla with DK 1929 DT for 2 days. The victim then gave the car to be rented to the person.
However, after two days the victim tried to contact the person who claimed to be I Made Dedi Putrawan, because his rental period had expired.
"Then the telephone number provided turned out to be inactive. Furthermore, the complainant (victim) together reported the incident to the Sukawati Police for further processing. Due to this incident, the victim suffered material losses of Rp. 70 million," he added.
From this report, the police investigated the case and found Calya in Buleleng, Bali.
"The car was found at the house of a resident named I Ketut Iwan Sutayasa, where the person concerned himself informed the victim about the whereabouts of the car, and it is indeed evidence of embezzlement according to what the victim reported," said Ariawan.
From the results of the investigation, information was obtained that the perpetrator was in the Malang area, East Java. The perpetrator was arrested.
During interrogation, it was discovered that the real name of the perpetrator was I Gusti Putu Noor Hairul. The perpetrator admitted to acting with his friend, Wayan Eka, who is currently a DPO. This perpetrator rented a Toyota Calya car with his friend, Wayan Eka.
The car was then taken to the boarding house of the perpetrator Ni Made Emi Riana Wulandari in Blahbatuh, Tabanan Regency, Bali.
"And the car was sold in the Singaraja area (Buleleng) at a very cheap value of Rp. 12 million. The money from their sales was divided equally," he said.
In addition, in carrying out the action, the perpetrator used a fake identity card where the identity card was made by the perpetrator Ni Made Emi Riana Wulandari.
Meanwhile, Ni Made Emi Riana Wulandari admitted that she had made a fake ID card for the perpetrator I Gusti Putu Noor Hairul.
"We found several items suspected of making fake letters in the form of stamps, ink pads, blank KK, marriage certificates, NPWP, ID cards, checking accounts, savings books and various certificates," said AKP Ariawa, referring to the evidence that was secured.
