Opening Voice Of Hersubeno Arief's Reporting Problem, FNN Says There Is No Hoax Element

JAKARTA - The News Network Forum (FNN) has spoken about the DPD PDIP Jakarta's reporting of one of its journalists, Hersubeno Arief, for allegedly spreading false news about Megawai Soekarnoputri in a coma.

The Chief Editor (Pemred) of FNN, Mangarahon Dongaran, said the report was at the wrong address. This is because the narrative presented by Hersubeno Arief as an FNN journalist does not contain elements of false news or hoaxes.

"Overall the content entitled Ketum PDIP Megawati Reportedly Coma and being treated at the RSPP which was uploaded on Thursday, September 9, 2021 with a duration of 12.43 minutes, does not contain any hoax elements," said Mangarahon in his statement, Thursday, September 16.

Some of the basic narratives are not hoaxes, continued Mangarahon, because the content provides news information on various conversation platforms (WAG), social media and news sites.

Moreover, the video also included a statement from the Secretary General of the PDIP DPP Hasto Kristiyanto. It said Megawati Soekarnoputri was in good health.

"In the content as a closing, news is also displayed quoted from the Tempo.co portal about the rebuttal of the Secretary General of the DPP PDIP Hasto Kristiyanto that Megawati is being treated in the hospital," he said.

In addition, at the end of the video, Hersubeno also makes a note so that people don't believe it right away. There must be accurate data to believe the news circulating.

"In the final sentence of the video, Hersubeno also reminds that whenever you hear news that is confusing, don't believe it immediately. You need to be skeptical, verify, seek information, confirm, whether the news is credible enough. Or is it just a rumor," said Mangarahon.

Previously, Hersubeno Arief was reported by the DPD PDIP Jakarta to the Polda Metro Jaya. The report is registered with the number LP/B/4565/IX/2021/SPKT/POLDA METRO JAYA.
