Message From The Chairman Of The DKI DPRD To The Candidates For The Mayor Of South-Jakbar: Don't Be A Lackey Of A Developer, Even Though It's My Friend
JAKARTA - The DKI DPRD has conducted a fit and proper test for the candidate for Mayor of South Jakarta, Yani Wahyu Purwoko and candidate for Mayor of West Jakarta, Munjirin.
The chairman of the DKI DPRD, Prasetio Edi Marsudi, gave a message to the two candidates when they took office. That is, they should not be lenient in dealing with developers or the private sector in their respective areas.
“The mayor should not be a developer's lackey, he must be firm. If he has an obligation, he will collect it, even if it's a friend of mine," said Prasetio in his statement, Thursday, September 16.
This message was emphasized by Prasetio starting from the problem of inventorying assets belonging to the DKI Provincial Government. So far, the issue of assets has always been problematic and has become a record in the examination of the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK).
South Jakarta and West Jakarta have almost the same problem. Among them is the issue of the developer's obligation to hand over social facilities (fasos) and public facilities (fasum) to the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government.
"This (asset problem) must be resolved. It is a big developer, but we should not be afraid because we obey the constitution," said Prasetio. Wahyu Purwoko as a candidate for the mayor of South Jakarta and Munjirin as a candidate for the mayor of West Jakarta.
In the fit and proper test, the two candidates were questioned about the problems of their respective cities by Commission A of the DKI DPRD and the leadership of the DKI DPRD. They were asked to answer the plan to solve the problem.
"Several questions and homework for them. Coupled with some crucial things that may not have been listed in this material, they will pay attention to them," said Head of Commission A of the DKI DPRD, Mujiono, at the DKI DPRD Building, Wednesday, September 15.
As a result, the DPRD considers Munjirin and Yani worthy of serving as mayors of West Jakarta and South Jakarta mayors. "The conclusion is a recommendation to the governor that the two mayoral candidates were deemed worthy," he said.
To them, Mujiyono advised that communication between the executive and the legislature could run intensively. Because, according to him, communication is the key in carrying out the mandate as an official.
"One thing that needs to be held firmly. Don't pick up the phone, anyone. There are a lot of executives who don't pick up the phone, right. Such a problem should be fixed," said Mujiyono.
