3 Firearms Robbers Gold Shop Pasar Simpang Limun Medan Bought From Aceh
MEDAN - North Sumatra Police Chief Inspector General RZ Panca Putra Simanjuntak said the three firearms used by the perpetrators of the robbery of two gold shops, namely Aulia and Masrul F Gold Shops, at Simpang Limun Market, Medan, were purchased from Aceh.
"The firearms are thought to have been left over from past events that occurred in Aceh," said Panca at the North Sumatra Police Headquarters, Medan, Wednesday, September 15.
He explained that the three firearms (long-barreled, pistol, and revolver) belonged to one of the robbers, namely H. The long-barreled weapon and the gun were lent to perpetrators F, P, and PG to rob the gold shop.
"While the revolver which was in the hands of perpetrator H, was not used to rob the gold shop at Simpang Limun Market," he said, quoted by Antara.
Previously, personnel from the General Crime Directorate of the North Sumatra Police arrested five perpetrators of armed robbery against two gold shops, namely Aulia and Masrul F, at Simpang Limun Market, Jalan SM Raja Medan, Medan Kota District, Medan City.
The five arrested perpetrators were H (38) a resident of Jalan Paluh Kemiri, Lubuk Pakam, P (32) a resident of Jalan Menteng VII Medan Denai, F (21) a resident of Jalan Garu I Medan Amplas, PG (26) a resident of Medan Johor, and D (28) Medan residents.
At the time of pre-reconstruction, one of the robbers, namely H, tried to fight the officers, so decisive action was taken and eventually died.
The robbery of two gold shops, namely Aulia Chan Gold Shop and Masrul F Gold Shop, at Simpang Limun Market, Jalan SM Raja Medan, Medan Kota District, occurred Thursday (26/8).
The perpetrators who used two motorbikes managed to steal 6.8 kg of gold from the two gold shops. Before leaving the crime scene, perpetrator H shot a parking attendant on behalf of Julius who tried to block the robbery.
