Elementary School Student In Nias Who Was Found Dead Turned Out To Be Murdered

MEDAN - Fitri A Waruwu, a 6th grade elementary school (SD) student in Nias Regency, North Sumatra who was found dead after three days missing, turned out to be a homicide victim.

Nias Police Chief, AKBP Wawan Iriawan said that the perpetrator of the FA murder had surrendered.

"That the perpetrator EH alias Ama Gisel surrendered to the Nias Police Investigator on Tuesday, September 14. We have secured it, then examined it and named a suspect and then detained at the Nias Police RTP," said AKBP Wawan, Wednesday, September 15.

Wawan said the murder occurred when the suspect returned from his oil palm plantation. On their way home, the suspect and the victim met on the street.

"When EH was about to get to his house, EH stopped because the victim FA was walking in the middle of the road blocking EH. Then EH reprimanded and said to the victim 'why do you want to die?' but the victim replied to EH's words by cursing," he said.

Hearing the victim cursing, the suspect then got angry and took a knife from inside his house. The suspect then killed the victim with the knife.

"The suspect chased the victim and immediately grabbed the victim's hair from behind with his left hand, dropped and pressed the victim's face to the ground and stabbed the victim's right neck twice using the knife he was holding," said Wawan.

Then, to cover his tracks, the perpetrator took a sack and put the victim's body in it. After that, the victim was taken to a ditch 50 meters from where he was killed.

"After it was confirmed that the victim was dead, then EH took a sack and put the victim's body in. The corpse was then taken and put in a ditch which was approximately 50 meters from where the victim was killed and covered with bush grass and banana leaves," explained Wawan.
