The Haru Story Of A Mother Asking To Save Her Child Before Stretching Her Life
JAKARTA - A single accident occurred in the Jati Bening area, West Bekasi. A car plunged into the Kalimalang river. This incident caused 1 person to die and another one lost in the flow. Meanwhile, two other people managed to survive.
Behind the story, there is a story of emotion from a mother. The mother chooses to save her child, rather than herself.
The story began when a car driver with police number B 1110 BHZ, Sutaryo, drove from Purwokerto to pick up Samsiah and his two children, MK and NF, who were in Parung, Bogor, on Thursday, July 9.
"The victim (Samsiah) also worked as a teaching staff for female students at the Islamic boarding school in Purwokerto and was picked up from Bogor," said Head of Traffic Unit for the Bekasi Metro Police, AKBP Ojo Ruslan to VOI, Friday, July 10.
During the trip from Purwokerto to Bogor, there were no obstacles. Sutaryo arrived safely there.
But on the way from Bogor to Purwokerto, obstacles began to be felt because Sutaryo was sleepy. Arriving in the Jati Bening area, the car he was driving lost control and plunged into the Kalimalang river.
With the car sinking slowly, Samsiah asked Sutaryo to get out of the car. Then, he asked Sutaryo to save one of his children first.
"Samsiah told Sutaryo to come out first and ask for help. Then Sutaryo pulled MK (10) out of the car, which was sitting at the front," said Ojo.
MK's life was saved together with Sutaryo. But Samsiah's life is helpless. The mother of two was declared dead after being swept away by the current. Meanwhile, another child, NF, has yet to be found.
Currently, Samsiah's body has been taken to the Bekasi City Hospital. In addition, officers from related agencies and the police are still trying to find the whereabouts of the NF.
"The children of the survivors have been secured and given assistance. Meanwhile, the information for the driver is still being explored," said Ojo.
