KPK Explores The Role Of Banten Education And Culture Officials Regarding Allegations Of Corruption In Land Procurement At SMKN 7 Tangsel

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is exploring the role of a number of officials at the Banten Province Education and Culture Office to investigate allegations of corruption in land acquisition for the construction of SMKN 7 South Tangerang.

This investigation was carried out by examining two witnesses on Tuesday, September 14 yesterday.

Those examined were the Head of Sub-Division of General and Personnel of the Banten Province Disdikbud for 2017-2019, Ganda Dodi Darmawan and the Executing Treasurer of Expenditures at the Banten Province Disdikbud, Meti Tunjung Sari.

"Dodi Darmawan was present and confirmed, among other things, related to the witness's duties as PPPTK in the implementation of land acquisition for the construction of SMKN 7 South Tangerang at the Banten Province Education and Culture Office for Fiscal Year 2017," Acting KPK Spokesperson for Enforcement Affairs Ali Fikri told reporters on Wednesday. , 15th of September.

Meanwhile for Meti, investigators are exploring their duties as treasurer in the land acquisition process. The KPK pays special attention to this case because the alleged corruption in the education sector is not only detrimental to the state but also to the community.

Thus, the anti-corruption commission continues to summon a number of witnesses to investigate this case, namely the Banten Provincial Government Civil Servant who is also an official for the procurement of goods or services for the 2017 fiscal year, Sendi Risyadi and a freelancer named Yadi Suardi. Both will be questioned at the Class I Immigration Office Non TPI Serang today. , Wednesday, September 15th.

Previously, the anti-corruption commission announced that it was investigating allegations of corruption at the Banten Province Education and Culture Office (Disdikbud). This riot is related to land acquisition to build SMKN 7 South Tangerang in 2017.

In the process, the KPK has conducted searches at the homes and offices of related parties in the Jakarta, South Tangerang, Serang, and Bogor areas on Tuesday, August 31 yesterday.

When the search was carried out, various items were found and secured which would later be used as evidence including documents, electronic goods and 2 cars.

Even though it has explained that there was a search, the KPK is still closed about the construction of this alleged corruption case and who has been named as a suspect. Later, information delivery and announcements of those involved will be made when arrests or detentions are made.
