7 Years On The Run, Upset Murder Suspect Forced To Drink Alcohol In Bitung, North Sulawesi Arrested
MANADO - Police arrested the perpetrators of the murder of a resident of West Wangurer, Madidir, Bitung City, North Sulawesi (Sulut). This suspect has been a fugitive for seven years.
The Head of Public Relations of the North Sulawesi Police, Kombes Jules Abraham Abast, said the murder case occurred in 2014.
“The suspect PG, 37 years old, was the perpetrator of the murder last May 2014, in West Wangurer, Bitung. After seven years of escaping, they were finally arrested by a joint team from the Bitung Police Satreskrim and Sitaro Islands Police, Monday (13/9), in West Siau," said Abast, quoted by Antara, Tuesday, September 14.
The perpetrator was detained at the West Siau Police Headquarters, then taken to the Bitung Police Station for questioning.
The perpetrator with the initials PG, a resident of North Makalehi, Sitaro, is suspected of stabbing 21-year-old Ahmad Makaminang with a sharp weapon.
This case began at an event held in the Kusu-kusu area of West Wangurer, Bitung City.
At that time the victim slapped the perpetrator for refusing to be offered alcohol for the third time.
The perpetrator had apologized, but the victim again beat him while outside the event location.
There was a fight between the two. The perpetrator 'pulled out' a knife, then stabbed the victim in the thigh once, and twice in the stomach.
When the victim fell into a ditch and died, the perpetrator immediately fled.
