JAKARTA - Indonesian President Joko Widodo hopes that the chancellors will also pay attention to food for students to avoid disease.

President Jokowi conveyed this when giving a speech at the Meeting of the Council of Chancellors of Indonesian State Universities which was recently broadcast on the Presidential Secretariat's YouTube channel.
"For what? Student food stalls that I also experienced in the past when washing dishes in buckets, one bucket of water was used from morning to midnight. Give them running water, our students will bring all diseases," said the President.
According to President Jokowi, it will be useless for smart but unhealthy students.
"Those are small things. However, no matter how smart people are if they are not healthy for what? What I said earlier was superior and intact. Once again the responsibility of the chancellor, yes, on campus, yes, off campus," said President.
President Jokowi said that the university's task is to produce excellent and complete students.
"Physical health, mental health, good character, good nationality, this is not an easy task because if not, our children will be 'carried' everywhere later," said the President.
According to President Jokowi, students who are physically and mentally healthy mean that their character and nationality are also good.
"The job of the rector and all of his staff is not only educating students on campus, let alone only in class. Be careful about this because it is the job of the chancellor and his staff related to those outside campus," he said. character, it is possible that off-campus students receive "education" to become drug addicts.
"What if we can't reach there? How do we get there on campus? On campus we are taught about Pancasila, nationality, outside campus there are those who teach our students to become hard-line extremists, so hard-line radicals. For what?" said the President.
