Police Summon Henry Yosodiningrat After Complaining 2 Social Media Accounts That Uploaded Megawati's Death
JAKARTA - The Jakarta Metro Police stated that they were investigating a report made by PDI-P politician Henry Yosodiningrat regarding the alleged spread of fake news. This case is handled by the Directorate of Special Criminal Investigation.
"It is still being investigated. We have received the report at the Crime Investigation Unit of the Polda Metro Jaya, we will investigate it later," said Head of Public Relations of the Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Yusri Yunus to reporters, Tuesday, September 14.
In fact, Yusri said, as a follow-up to the report, the investigative team will summon Henry Yosodiningrat for questioning. Calls will be made in the near future.
"We plan to invite and clarify the reporter first and the available evidence," said Yusri.
Furthermore, Yusri said in the report, the YouTube social media account 'Mahakarya Cendana' and the Tiktok account 'Jatim070881' were the reported parties.
This is because the owner of the account is considered to have spread false news about the death of Megawati Soekarnoputri by profiting from Henry Yosodiningrat.
"Where in the viral video contains old video footage which was edited according to the reporting party and edited by the reported person," said Yusri.
Previously, Henry Yosodiningrat reported two social media accounts for allegedly spreading fake news. The report was registered with the number LP/B/4518/IX/2021/SPKT/POLDA METRO JAYA, dated September 13.
In the report, the two owners of social media accounts were deemed to have violated Article 27 paragraph (3) Juncto Article 45 paragraph (3) of the Republic of Indonesia Law No. Criminal.
